Hello All,

My daughter, who is not a birder, says there may be a loon in a small pond in front of a housing development in Kent. She drew a bird that looks very much like a loon to me. She says it is on Fairchild Avenue, and when heading west it is on the right-hand side before the high school. She said the pond is tiny, and if it is a loon, I fear it may be trapped and need help to get to a larger body of water to take off. Is there anyone who lives down that way who could check to see if it is a loon?
Looking on google maps, she thinks it is the pond located at about 1112 Fairchild.
Thanks!

Nancy Ortman, Independence
