orry I did not post this to the listserv earlier. But, I think the info is still useful.

I saw 15 fish crows in Garfield Heights yesterday (Cuyahoga County). I was at the intersection of Turney Road and Granger Road.
If you check the eBird species map, you will see a cluster of markers for this species in that area. I just happened to pull up to the red light (going east) and saw the birds all around. I could hear their calls. Three Amercian crows flew into the area calling which was a nice way to compare the smaller Fish Crows to the larger American Crows.

Last Sunday I was at Columbia Reservation at the southern end of Hitchcock Lake looking north. This park is in the east central part of Lorain County. I had been out for about 2 hours and was sitting on the bench watching two pied-billed grebes diving. I spotted a Least Bittern on the edge of the lake just to the right of the cattails. I got a good look at it for about 10 minutes. I hope to go back again.

I am still relatively new to this park. If anyone has walked down West River Road to view this lake, please let me know if it is worth the walk, and if one could take a scope on a tripod down that road. I would like to see the lake from another angle. The view from the overlook is limited because it is somewhat blocked by trees.
