I birded Conneaut harbor in the morning and Walnut Beach in the early afternoon.  Birds at Conneaut included: 20 red-breasted mergansers, 315 double-crested cormorants, 3 bald eagles, 3 black-bellied plovers, 6 dunlin, 6 greater yellowlegs, lesser yellowlegs, 100 Bonaparte's gulls, an ad. lesser black-backed gull, 3 great black-backed gulls, belted kingfisher, merlin, and Am. pipit.  Walnut Beach had: 5 bald eagles, merlin, Carolina wrens, 4 golden-crowned kinglets, 2 ruby-crowned kinglets, 13 yellow-rumped warblers, palm warbler, 2 dark-eyed juncos, 5 white-throated sparrows, and 12 song sparrows.  Craig Holt, Lowellville
