Today's big front is still plowing through with sustained 20+ winds NNE.
Waterfowl, loons and grebes made a good push today, as did Common Terns. and Bonaparte's Gulls arrived en masse. Four Sabine's Gulls were reported from between 3 sites.

Some highlights from the lakefront:

EAST
Jerry Talkington had a solid movement of all three scoters, plus a flyby Red-necked Grebe at Sunset Park. Dave Chase and Chia found an adult Sabine's Gull at Headland's (on the beach) which was later refound by Ray Hannikman and Jerry just to the east in Fairport Harbor. Kent Miller had an adult Little Gull fly over Wake Robin trail.

CENTRAL
I set up for 5 hours at Edgewater Park in Cleveland. 5,200 Bonaparte's Gulls passed, most heading east. TWO juvenile Sabine's Gulls passed close to shore; separate sightings. Two different Red Phalaropes passed to the east, as did a Red-necked Grebe. Loons and grebes pushed wel plus a few Surf and Black Scoters.
In Lorain, Gabe Leidy reports over 5,000 Bonaparte's staging, many grounded in the parking lot. He found a Nelson's Sparrow at the impound. Debbie Parker photographed a Red Phalarope flying through the harbor headed east.

WEST
Dan Gesualdo had a juvenile Sabine's Gull pass Sherod Park headed west plus a Red Phalarope. He found an adult Little Gull on the Huron River near the river mouth. Dave Smith photographed point-blank a Long-tailed Jaeger at Nickle Plate park in Huron. A light blond-collared bird, just stunning.

Tomorrow's conditions are a replica of today. Get out there
