Late migration continues to straggle through, and I found plenty of late migrants at these 2 sites north of Columbus. At Alum Creek Lake, I stopped at New Galena boat launch and the beach area, and found much fewer waterfowl & gulls than last month (hunting may have something to do with this). Sharon Woods had an interesting mix of birds, many drawn in by the heavy mast crop. Notables from both sites included:

Common Loons - at least 3 were off the beach at Alum Creek Lake
Other waterfowl - Alum Creek also had 2 Pied-billed Grebes and a flock of 40 Coots. Shrock Lake had 2 Ruddies along with the expected Mallards & geese

Raptors - TVs were gone from Alum Creek Lake, but Red-tailed Hawks were at every stop both there & at Sharon Woods. A juvenile Bald Eagle was at New Galena

Gulls - hardly any at the beach at Alum Creek Lk, with only 50 Ring-bills, 2 Herring, and 4-5 Bonapartes

Woodpeckers - Flickers still on the move, with 6/hr at both New Galena and the beach area. The oaks at Sharon Woods had accumulated 1 Red-headed Woodpecker and 14 Red-bellied

Brown Creepers - unexceptional numbers, with singles at New Galena & Sharon Woods
Kinglets - only a few Golden-crowns at the Visitors' Center at Alum Cr.Lake and at Sharon Woods
Bluebirds - good numbers, with 13 at Alum Cr. Lake and another 10 at Sharon Woods, in flocks of 4-5
Pipit - 1 was an ealry fly-by at New Galena

Sparrows - Tree Sparrows were at both the beach area at Alum Creek Lk, and at Sharon Woods. The beach area also had a few Field Sparrows and a Swamp Sparrow, while Sharon Woods had a lingering White-crown

Blackbirds - a few small flocks of Redwings at Alum Creek lake, and of Grackles at Sharon Woods
Finches - single Purple Finches were at both the beach area at Alum Creek Lake and the meadow at Sharon Woods. Flocks of Goldfinches were at both sites, but no siskins were among them yet.
