I spent a couple hours watching the lake at Lake Erie Bluffs Metropark in Lake County. It was overcast and windy with a northwest wind. There was a generally a slow movement of birds with most moving fairly early. By 8:45, things slowed down considerably. Of note was a single brant flying with a small group of mallards. An early morning red-throated loon was observed flying low over the water heading west. Single white-winged and surf scoters were both flying with groups of red-breasted mergansers.

Also of interest were a group of 11 bald eagles that were heading east in a loose group. All were immatures.
