Dan Sanders and Rob Lowry report that is is still present and viewable from the west side. They walked north along mowed grass almost to the inlet and observed from the hillside.

The loon was observable from the boat launch and from the west side of the lake (CJ Brown Overlook--picnic area) and was about equal distance from both points. Also present were four common loons and a horned grebe, providing nice comparisons for plumage patterns and body and bill sizes.
