I work at the Cuyahoga Community College building in downtown
Cleveland, on Carnegie, across the street from the baseball stadium.
I just returned from lunch to witness the strangest November sighting
I've ever had--a Northern Waterthrush, bouncing around in the
flowerbeds along our side walkway.  I couldn't believe it.    It was
not shy--I got very good looks at it for quite a while.
Unfortunately this is not a chaseable bird because parking is
complicated here, and I'm guessing it won't stick around this small
spot very long.  I just wanted to post about it because this seems to
me to be extremely late for a warbler to show up.  I know an Ovenbird
stayed around downtown Cleveland all last winter, so it's not unheard
of, but has this particular species ever been seen so late in the year
this far north?
