Duck numbers are building bigtime offshore, with awesome totals of Redhead and Ruddy Ducks and good numbers of goldeneye from Huntington all the way east to Eastlake. Remember, it's still hunting season. Don't be shocked to see hunters in harbors and along breakwalls and near shore. We had a Long-tailed Duck and White-winged Scoter off East 72nd street today during the Christmas count. Diversity was pretty good overall. Gull numbers are on the rise, with upwards of 8-10,000 gulls off Wendy Park and along the north end of the Cuyahoga River.
