Yesterday afternoon at 2:40, I photographed through my window a first fall female Rose-Breasted Grosbeak eating sunflower seed on the ground. She returned at 4:15 pm and fed from the bin feeder alongside a male Northern Cardinal.
She was obviously the highlight of yesterday’s 18 species at the feeders!
