Hi folks,

Just wanted to report a spectacle I observed while driving today. I was on
the highway ramp from the northern section of I-270 to get on south 71, and
as I made the curve, I was stunned to see hundreds of crows on the side of
the ramp! It was like a starling flock, except with crows! About a minute
later, another large flock of close to a hundred crows was flying northeast
as I proceeded south on 71. I estimate at least 300 crows in the big flock.

As a related note, on the Columbus CBC this morning, we had a flock of
about 70 crows flying towards the landfill. That might have been the
highlight of a very slow morning if it weren't for a nice flyover flock of
25 Sandhill Cranes right as we decided to call it a day.

Good birding,
Andy Sewell
Columbus
