My wife and I had lunch above the Greenlawn Ave. Dam today, and were
surprised to see an osprey circling above the dam and settling to rest
on a tree along the bank for about ten minutes. Ospreys have become more
common here in recent years, and it seems some are willing--at least in
this mild winter--to extend their stays. Looks like parrots will be
likelier than ptarmigans in times to come...
