Today at 11 am I was just entering Bedford Reservation (Cuyahoga County) off Dunham Road where the Gorge Parkway runs along Tinkers Creek. I saw a bird on a rock in the stream. It turned out to be a Merlin. It splashed around for awhile before taking off to a nearby tree. Then, two other Merlins started circling the tree, and the three falcons took off to the south.

While the birds did take off, I wanted to add that I have seen Merlins in the past in Emerald Circle Field in this park, which is just to the northeast of this location. So, it might be worth a look there. (American Kestrels are also sighted in this field.) The field is at the end of Button Road just about where the eBird HotSpots marker is for "Bedford Reservation - Tinkers Creek".
