Yes it was a slow, but pretty morning along the Scioto River in Columbus. I worked the areas from St. 104 up through Berliner & Scioto Audubon Parks to Long St Dam and Grandview. Good diversity of birds, but little that was terribly unusual. For Ivory Gull piners, there were very few flocks of gulls along the river here; most of these gulls had decamped either for the SWACO landfill or O'Shaughnessy Dam(which had 500-600 gulls yesterday). The notables downtown included:

Hooded Mergansers - present nearly everywhere, though in modest numbers; Scioto Audubon was high with 24
Other Waterfowl - 3 Mute Swans were at the Haul Rd Ponds, but little else anywhere besides geese.
Raptors - Cooper's were at 3 different spots, while Red-tails were at 4. No sign of recent Merlin or Osprey
Gulls - small #s of Ring-bills at most areas, with 30 at Long St Dam the high.
Sapsucker - 1 was near the Community Garden in Grandview Heights
BrownCreepers - low#s, with only 2 at Berliner
Ruby-cr.Kinglet - 1 was at Long St. Dam, one of a few winter records this year so far
Robins - small flocks at Long St.Dam and Scioto Audubon, but not common
Sparrows - a few Trees at Berliner, but White-throateds were dominant at most stops
