Greetings, everyone!
Made a quick run back to Amish Country this afternoon and was not disappointed!
I was treated to stellar looks at both the Summer Tanager and Baltimore Oriole this afternoon. Also saw/heard accounts that the Western Tanager was also seen today, as well as the Orange-crowned Warbler. If you try for the Baltimore Oriole, the warbler is only about three miles away from the oriole, so it's worth a stop.
If you are not on Facebook and are not following the threads on Ohio Chase Birds, Ohio Rare Birds, Bobolink Area of Ohio, etc. here are the directions, the visitation protocols and appropriate food gifts for the bird hosts:
Summer Tanager - Suet

There is a female Summer Tanager coming to thefeeders at Indian Trail Harness Shop at 6830 State Rt. 515, Millersburg, OH.Though the address is Millersburg, this is actually just north of Trail, OH.The bird has been coming to the feeders since 11/27. Birders are welcome topark at the north side of the harness shop and enter the shop where they willtake you to watch the feeder. Incredibly this is less than 4 miles from theWestern Tanager, both independently confirmed this morning. Highly recommend that all visitors uponarrival if the tanager isn't present please go right inside the house. Birderswatching outside seemed clearly to keep the bird from coming in and homeownerEdna Troyer will be most delighted to visit with you while you wait. A visitation update on the tanager: TheSummer Tanager homeowners are welcoming birders only Monday-Friday. When youvisit please enter the house and sign the guest book inside. I also suggestasking to read through Edna's Life Journey booklet. It is quite remarkable andwill add to your appreciation of this very gracious host.

Western Tanager - Mealworms [Dried or Live]

"I just got back from confirming a WesternTanager (female) that is visiting a feeder at the Marvin Troyer residence in NEHolmes county since about Nov. 30. The address is 8337 Township Road 662Wilmot OH which is .2 mile south of US route 62 (this is just south andwest of Wilmot, OH). Birders are welcome. Vehicles should park along the south(left) side of the driveway by the outbuildings. The feeders can be observed from this area. Do not park on the other side ofthe driveway as this is too close to the feeders. Also, stay out of the yardand please be courteous. There should be ample space for parking and observingin the designated area. The homeowners at the Western Tanager arewelcoming birders 7 days a week. Sundays are fine. Please continue to followthe original post requests for staying back to the left side of the driveway. Please sign the guest list under the roof on the first outbuilding on the left. Also, the Westernhas been seen at the feeders a few houses away at Izzy Miller's house at 1570State Rt 62. This is the second house on the left after turning on Rt 62 comingout from the Troyers. Birders are welcome here as well but the feeders are notas easy to see and the homeowners are not keeping track of the tanager asdiligently here. Orange-crowned Warbler - Suet

The Orange-crowned Warbler is at 9501Hogback Rd Fredericksburg OH 44627. Birders are welcome!

Baltimore Oriole - Suet
