January 23rd: "Birding at Green Lawn Cemetery", Randel Rogers, Board Member,
Green Lawn Cemetery.
Green Lawn Board Member Randy Rogers will tell the story of one of
Ohio's most historically important cemeteries with an emphasis on its
importance to birders as part of an Audubon Important Bird Area. We will
learn about its genesis as a "rural" cemetery, the naturalists buried there,
and how the cemetery is being managed to provide enhanced bird habitat.
Randy Rogers is a retired Army National Guard officer with a B.S. in
Recreation Studies from Ohio University. He is the Vice President of the
Ohio Ornithological Society and Cedar Bog Association and has been the Chair
of the Grounds and Historic Preservation Committee at Green Lawn for three
years. He is also a part-time park ranger with Franklin County Metro Parks.

Here is a quick overview of the 2017 programs which end in April and start
back up in September. Thanks!
