An adult Green Heron was at Scranton Flats "Collision Bend" downtown CLE ---first found by Lisa Cellura yesterday, Scott Watkins this morning, and photographed by many today. The fire station on Scranton Road is the best spot to scan from. Be vigilant of roadwork.

Two Surf Scoters remain at the same site - collision bend in the flats.

Two Great Egrets remain at Jefferson Avenue in the flats.

The Snowy Owl continues at Burke. Better views were had today by scoping from the end of the East 9th street pier, as the bird has been more regularly seen on the outer breakwall off of Burke, with occasional sightings on the runways. Please be wise about parking, stopping. CLE police will ticket vehicles not abiding by regulations on Marginal Road.

Gull numbers and diversity have declined 85% since the warm up. Conditions have been far too pleasant to mass up birds in the harbors and marinas. As cold weather creeps back in, watch for gulling success to rise slowly.

Best sites for waterfowl diversity and numbers: scoping from upper Edgewater Park, Lakewood Park, Rocky River Park.

A Merlin at Lakewood Park has been showing extremely well the past two days.

Larks and Snow Buntings have been moving overhead the lakeshore in small numbers.
