I stopped by Greenlawn Monday afternoon to see if maybe there would be a red-breasted nuthatch at the feeders by Thurber Pond (aka the Pit), but instead I was treated to my FOY red-winged blackbird (male of course), hanging out with 4 or 5 starlings. The resident pair of red-tailed hawks were cozying up at the top of one of the big trees on the ridge nearby, but no sign of the (I hope) resident pair of great horned owls yet. Good birding!
