Meshing with Troy Shively's remarks on this forum is an article I wrote
on this species in Ohio in the Fall 2007 Ohio Cardinal; it can be read
online at
http://ohiobirds.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/V31.1.OhioCardinal_Fall2007.pdf
. In this article I did not foresee well enough the strong tendency for
this species to conduct migrations well to the west in Ohio, as has
happened since. The Ohio Ornithological Society deserves praise for
making this and every issue of the Cardinal back to 1978 available
online at http://ohiobirds.org/the-ohio-cardinal-archived-issues/ .
