At CJ Brown Reservoir near Springfield, several of the year-round birds I started to hear singing a week or so ago were singing again this morning including: titmice, Carolina Wrens, Mourning Doves, and Song Sparrows. They were joined today by Red-winged Blackbirds, which were scattered around the Dam area. The Visitor Center feeders hosted up to ten Red-wings at a time, all shiny males.
