I'm planning on driving to see the birds next week. Does anyone know if the
parking directions are still applicable? And if the guest books are still
out?
Thank you,

Subject: [Ohio-birds] Holmes County Western & Summer Tanagers updates

The Western & Summer Tanagers 4 miles apart in Holmes County both continue
Thursday morning although one report suggests the Summer is looking a bit
more lethargic and fluffed up today.
Both Amish homeowners are exceptionally gracious. The homeowners of the
Western Tanager are pleased to welcome birders 7 days a week including
Sunday. Please stay on the far left side of the parking area giving as much
space as possible to the Tupperware cup the Western likes to come feed at by
the feeders. Yesterday the Western seemed far more likely to approach when
birders remained in their cars waiting on the left side of the drive. Please
sign the guest list under the roof on the first outbuilding on the left. The
Summer Tanager homeowners are requesting only Monday through Friday visits
due to business and family considerations on the weekends. When you stop in
the owner, Edna Troyer, asks that you come inside the house to allow the
birds to settle better and there sign her guest book as well. I encourage
birders to ask to read through a copy of her Life's Journey booklet as her
remarkable life journey will make your visit all the more memorable. The
address for the Western is 8337 Township Road 662 which is just south of Rt
62 SW of Wilmot. The Summer is at 6830 State Rt. 515, Millersburg, OH which
is actually just north of Trail, OH.Kent Miller
