Just heard a Song Sparrow practicing putting his tea kettle on in SW
Columbus suburb. Nice to hear until I remember this is February.
Couple of weeks ago I was entertained by a White-breasted Nuthatch stashing
safflower around our patio. He placed one seed in between panels of a gate
and then grabbed a dead leaf and stuffed that in also, presumably to help
hide the seed.
