I stopped at several portions of Hoover Reservoir and Alum Creek Lake, and found some ice and lots of waterfowl. At Hoover I stopped at the dam, Walnut St ramp, Maxtown ramp, and Mudhen marsh, while at Alum, I visited New Galena ramp, Plumb Rd access, SummerRidge access, and Cheshire ramp & causeway. Included among the waterfowl were:

GreaterWhite-fr.Geese - a flock of 68 birds was mixed in with 200+ Canada Geese off the north side of the Cheshire causeway at Alum Creek Lake

Mallards - definitely on the move, with big flocks at Hoover Dam, New Galena, SummerRidge, and Cheshire
BlackDucks - fair #s mixed in with the Mallards
N.Shovelers - 3 were off the Walnut St Boat launch at Hoover
AmerWigeon - a pair was in the spillway at Hoover dam
Gadwall - at least 25+ were in the spillway at Hoover dam
Pintail - 5 were with a large flock of Mallards at SummerRidge access at Alum Cr.Lake
Divers - Redheads, Ring-necks, & Lesser Scaup were all in the bay north of the Cheshire causeway at Alum
Bufflehead - only a few, with a pair at the Hoover dam spillway, and 1 at SummerRidge at Alum
Goldeneye - small #s (2-5) at every stop at Alum Cr.Lake
Hooded Mergansers - a flock of 30+ was north of the Walnut St. boat ramp at Hoover
