The recent cold snap has slowed, but not stopped, Spring migration here in central Ohio.  I stopped at Sharon Woods today, and found it bustling with birds, despite the bone-chilling wind.  Notables for 2 hours included:

Ducks - Shrock Lake was open and had Ring-necked Ducks, Lesser Scaup, and Bufflehead, along with geese
Vultures - 2-3 Turkey Vultures were floating over the park in the cold wind
WildTurkeys - at least 2 were along the Thomas Trail, scratching for nuts and acorns
E.Phoebe - 1 was sitting on one of the docks at Shrock lake, looking for chilled insects
Tree Swallows - 4-5 were swirling over the Lake surface, looking for any hatching insects
Yellow-rumped Warblers - had 4 at several different spots along the trails
Tree Sparrows - still 4 of them lingering in the alders around the Shrock lake shore
E.Towhee - had 5 in different spots along the trails.
Blackbirds - few Red-wings, but a small flock of grackles was turning leaves along the Thomas Trail
