Fairly quiet at Hinckley but I did pick up my FOS Solitary (1) & Spotted SPs (2) along the lakeshore by the Johnson picnic area. Only warblers were Yellow, YT, Com YT & Ovenbird. Pileated WP.
Decided to chase the Henslow's sparrows at Bath Nature Reserve, my first visit to this lovely spot. I ran into a couple birders who directed me to the area near oil well F where I heard a number of Henslow's but finally spotted one perched & singing on some taller grass. Not that close but flat head obvious. Also had Song, Chipping, White-crowned, Field & House Sparrows. Lots of E Meadowlarks singing & chasing each other around.
A male RB Grosbeak was lovely as it sang from a perch. Only Yellow & Com YT warblers. Brown Thrashers, E BBs, Tree, Barn & Rough-winged swallows.
House Wren singing.
