Karen Lakus, one of CWC's staff, discovered a Bald Eagle nest being built across the river north of the center along the Tow Path. She saw an eagle carrying a stick, followed its flight and saw it land on the nest. The nest is on private property, but can be seen from the Tow Path. Binoculars or scope are suggested, but are not needed. Approximately 1.5 mile walk from the center or 0.5 mile walk from the the lower Harvard Rd Trailhead parking lot near Jennings Rd. Look up and to the right of the "No Anchoring or Dredging" sign across the river.
