Saturday April 8th at 6:30 P.M. 30 Black-crowned Night Heron were observed roosting in small trees at the far end of the retention ponds on Martin's Point Drive just west of Medusa Marsh. They were in the branches from a few inches above the water to about 10 feet above the water. Medusa Marsh held hundreds of American Coot, dozens of Northern Shoveler, quite a few Lesser Scaup, Ring-necked Duck, and Ruddy Duck, 1 Trumpeter Swan, and a few of both Pied-billed Grebe and Horned Grebe.
