I checked out several woodlot clusters around west Dublin (NW suburb of Columbus) looking for early migrants with some success. The two major clusters were Trabue & Avery Parks, and Glacier Ridge north section & McKitrick Woods, and both had interesting early migrants, including

Red-shouldered Hawk - 1 adult at Trabue, another calling at McKitrick
Sapsuckers - singles at both Avery and Glacier Ridge N
E.Phoebes - multiple #s , at every stop
Tree Swallows - groups around boxes at Trabue and Glacier Ridge N
Blue-headed Vireo - my FOS was calling at the woodlot at Avery Park
BrownCreepers - not common, with singles at Trabue, Avery, and Glacier Ridge N
Golden-cr.Kinglets - small #s at every stop
Ruby-cr.Kinglets - 2 at Trabue, another at GlacierRidge N
HermitThrush - singles at Trabue and Glacier Ridge N
BrownThrasher - an adult singing at the edge of a field at Glacier Ridge N
Warblers - only Yellow-rumps, and not very many of them
Field Sparrows - many birds, at Trabue and Glacier Ridge N
FoxSparrow - 1 was in an overgrown field at Glacier Ridge N
E.Meadowlarks - 3-4 singing in the shortgrass fields of Glacier Ridge N
RustyBlackbird - an adult was singing around the vernal pools at Glacier Ridge N
PurpleFinch - 1 was singing along the woodlot edge at Avery Park
