This past week on the island we have had lots of dark-eyed juncos and white-throated sparrows moving through. The female red-wings are here. I saw an eastern meadowlark on Middle Bass on Monday.

We still have common loons, horned grebes in various plumages, red-breasted mergansers, bufflehead, and lesser scaup in the harbor on South Bass. Kuehnle Wildlife Area on Middle Bass had wigeon, blue-winged teal, ring-neck ducks, hooded mergansers, horned grebes, wood ducks last Monday.

Will see what the warm temperatures bring us this weekend! Dutchman's breeches are beautiful right now.

Lisa
