I hear them every year near this intersection (Bellflower and Ford) in University Circle beginning around Commencement (mid-May) and I’ve wondered if nighthawks nest on one of the old buildings there. Today a Brown Thrasher was singin' his heart out at the top of a tree at the Moebius Nature Center in Aurora.
Also an male Indigo Bunting was feeding in the grass beneath my backyard bird feeder in Aurora.
