Geauga--Novelty (just a sprinkling of what they are seeing at the lake)


Tuesday--FOS orchard orioles (2 breeding males), FOS kingfisher, and FOS alder flycatcher

Wednesday--FOS indigo bunting and red-eyed vireo (heard)

Thursday--3 more indigos, 1 red-eyed vireo (heard), FOS philadelphia vireo (heard?), FOS house wrens (heard), and FOS black-billed cuckoo (fleeting look, but I'm pretty sure


Mohican Memorial Forest (mountain biking and birding by ear on Wednesday--17 miles)


10 hooded warblers (7 just from mile 4 to mile 8)

3 american redstarts

3 common yellow throats

1 chestnut-sided? and 1 northern parula? (looked up sounds when I got home)

dozens of red-eyed vireos (saw 1)

1 or more philadelphia vireos and yellow-throated vireos (saw 1)

1 warbling vireo (saw)

3 blue-gray gnatcatchers

2 scarlet tanagers

2 wood thrushes

dozens of chipping sparrows
