I spent a hour & a half hiking through this southeast Columbus MetroPark looking for late migrants with modest success. The morning was birdly, but most highlighted by residents, including

GreenHeron - 1 was flying around the north end of the park, near Ashton Pond

Red-shouldered hawk - one of the nesting adults was hunting near the group picnic areas

Flycatchers - no obvious migrants, but lots of Pewees, Acadians, and Great Cresteds

Vireos - 12+ Red-eyeds singing in the forest; also had single White-eyed & Yellow-throated

Thrushes - still a few Swainson's Thrushes around the forest, along with 2-3 singing Wood Thrushes

Warblers - plenty of resident Common Yellowthroats (5) and Yellow-throated (2), but also had Chesnut-sided, Black-thr.Green, Redstart, Black&White, Kentucky, and Hooded

Buntings,Grosbeaks - none of the latter, but 5-6 Indigo Buntings
Tanagers - 1 singing Scarlet was along the Buttonbush Loop
