I stopped at several isolated woodlots around these 2 suburbs northwest of Columbus today, and had mixed success. I birded Reynolds Park in Hilliard and Darree Fields and Heather Glen in Dublin. All of these parks have small woodlots surrounded by fields or houses. For whatever reason, Darree Fields was a bust (possibly because park personnel had removed most of the trees along their stream), but the other 2 parks were hopping with migrants. The lists for a half hour in each park included:

Flycatchers - Wood Pewee & Great crested at Reynolds; Phoebe, Least, and Acadian at Heather Glen
Vireos - Red-eyed at both; Warbling at Reynolds, Blue-headed at Heather Glen
Kinglets - several Ruby-crowns at Heather Glen
Thrushes - Swainson's common at both; Wood at Reynolds, Hermit at Heather Glen
Mimids - Catbirds abundant at both parks
Warblers - 8 species at Reynolds, 11 at Heather Glen, including Yellow, Parula, Nashville, Tennessee, Magnolia, Chesnut-sided (most common), Black-thr.Green, Blackburnian, Yellow-rumped, Black&White, Redstart, Ovenbirds, Hooded, CommonYellowthroat
Tanagers - singing Scarlets at both woodlots
Sparrows - small groups of White-throated still at both woodlots
Grosbeaks,Buntings - singing Rose-breasted Grosbeaks and Indigo Buntings at both woodlots
Orioles - several Baltimores at Reynolds
