The above is a nice yearly run-down of the bird species now accepted for
the AOS Check-List. The new name for that organization has been
courageously changed from "Union" to "Society," and some of the
supplement's changes are of similar importance. Folks who carefully
record their experiences with birds will find they have alterations to
make to satisfy new information, and there will almost certainly be more
next year, as certain long-simmering alterations are yet to decided.
