Hi

We have fledgling Dark-eyed Juncos visiting the front feeder on
Gildersleeve Mountain.  Fledglings have a streaked breast and less even
colored plumage on their upper parts.

Late August is not an un unprecedented time frame for this in their Ohio
breeding range, but it seems most Juncos in this area quit after their July
brood.  An August brood would likely be the third of the season.
