The YBNH is still present at the same location.  Has been seen all morning.
Best,

 Subject: [Ohio-birds] Yellow-crowned Night-heron, Lake County 8/23

There currently is an immature yellow-crowned night-heron at Lake Metropark's Concord Woods Nature Park in Lake County. The bird was up a small channel in the southwest corner of the lake. It was best observed from the wooden bridge that is just behind the shelter. Someone sent Dan Donaldson a photo and he thought it looked dark and asked me to check it out since I work out of that location. I had several things going this afternoon and checked right after I got off at 4:00. It was still there when I left. It has been quite a few years since I have seen one up here in Lake County. The park is located at 11211 Spear Road in Concord Township. You can check the lakemetroparks.com website. Photos can be seen on the Facebook ohio rare bird page.
