For the second time in about a week I’ve seen nighthawks fly over
my property. On the 19th I went out to count the robins as they came
in to roost, (about 600) and saw three nighthawks, quickly swirling once, and off
they went. That was about 8:30pm. Today, coming back to the
house early evening, 5:30, two slowly flew across the pond, only about
40 feet from the ground.

Also had one olive sided flycatcher here today. Showed up in the morning
at one end of the fields, as usual high up on a dead tree, and this
evening I saw one, presumably the same one, at the other side of the property,
similarly perched atop of a dead tree.
