Spring Valley Lake Wildlife Area this AM

phoebes - many
pewees - perhaps other empids also, but pewees only ones calling
*olive-sided flycatcher - 1 on west side of lake along bike path*
red-headed woodpeckers - at least 6-8 adults and immatures
cedar waxwings - flock of at least 20
blue-gray gnatcatchers
warbling vireos - fewer than last week
wood ducks, green herons - many
kingfishers - several
chimney swifts and rough-winged swallows
