The 5th annual Ohio Avian Research Conference is quickly approaching, and the schedule of speakers is quickly filling up.

There are a lot of great talks this year on many different kinds of birds from all over, and there will be a variety of poster presentations as well.  If you want to improve your skills as a birder then I strongly encourage you to expand your knowledge beyond basic identification, and gain a greater understanding of their natural history and conservation.


Registration is just $35 for non-students and  $15 for students, and this includes breakfast, lunch, and a cookie/coffee break, not to mention the conference presentations themselves.  After October 6th prices go up and you may not be guaranteed food.


This year's conference is sponsored by Denison University, The Nature Conservancy of Ohio, the Columbus Audubon John Wilson Memorial Education Fund, the Ohio Biological Survey, the Cleveland Museum of Natural History's Dept. of Ornithology, the Wakeman Foundation and Miami University's Biology Department. The conference is endorsed by the American Ornithological Society (AOS--formerly AOU).
