A nice male Brewster's Warbler (Golden-winged X Blue-winged) was with a small flock of migrants hanging around the parking area for the Boardwalk at the north end of Hoover. The flock also included chickadees, titmice, nuthatches, pewees, and several other warbler species (Tennessee, Blackpoll, Bay-br.,Redstart).

Other than this flock, the Boardwalk and nearby Area N were fairly quiet. The water level is down a bit, and the tiny rim of shallow water attracted 10 Great Blue Herons and 5 Great Egrets. The Boardwalk had no fishermen, so it had a sitting flock of gulls, 30 Ring-billed and 1 Herring. Plenty of Turkey Vultures circling, but no Osprey.
