Kiwanis Riverway Park in Franklin Co. was darn quiet when I walked the loop in misting rain at 2:00. When the rain got serious at 2:30, the treetops instantly filled with birds. I could see groups coming in over the river. With low light, rain in eyes and on optics, I managed to ID 9 species of warblers. There were so many more that I couldn't get bins on. If this tiny park is any indication, tomorrow could be a very good day to pick up migrants in the Columbus area.
