I was out Thursday afternoon from 1-5pm checking out areas in Funk Bottoms
and Killbuck Marsh. Both areas were quite flooded with high water over the
roads in some areas. There were abundant ducks to be seen. Here is a
summary with estimated numbers:

*Funk Bottoms along Rt 95*
Ring-necked duck  1000+
Redhead  500+
Bufflehead  6
Lesser scaup  25
Canvasback  2
Am. wigeon  12


*Wilderness Road (center portion impassable)*
Red-breasted merganser  7
Hooded merganser  1
Pintail  500+
Black duck  30
Mallard  100
Gadwall  10
Green-winged teal  2
Am. wigeon  50
Shoveler  25
Canvasback  2


*Cemetery Road pond along Rt 226, Killbuck Wildlife Area*
Ring-necked duck   several 1000
Redhead  100+
Bufflehead  5
Canvasback  20
Lesser scaup  10
Mallard  10
Am. Coot  50


*Wright Marsh along Rt 226, Killbuck Wildlife Area*
