The overcast, cool morning kept many birds active into late morning today
at this MetroPark southwest of Columbus. I stopped at Trail of Ancients,
Terrace Trail, Cedar Ridge, the Nature Center area, and Kuhlwein wetlands,
and had interesting birds at every stop. Notables included:

Woodcock - 4 chicks were huddled along the Terrace Trail, left there by an
adult that trusted their camouflage. And my phone was dead, so no pics! :-(

Cuckoos - Yellow-billeds calling at most stops

Flycatchers - plenty of Acadians & Wood Peewees, but also had scattered
Great Cresteds and 4 Willows at Kuhlwein

Vireos - the stake-out Bell's Vireo continues to sing along the Greenway
Trail 1/4 mile north of Kuhlwein Rd. Red-eyeds were abundant in forest
areas, but Yellow-throateds were also noticeable, especially with 4 along
the Terrace Trail. White-eyed were at Trail of Ancients and Cedar Ridge.

Thrushes - only a scattering of Wood Thrushes, with 4 along the Terrace
Trail the high.

Warblers - Parulas common along creek, while Yellow-throateds and Louisiana
Waterthrushes were found at Trail of Ancients, Terrace Trail, and Cedar
Ridge. The Terrace Trail, with the biggest woods, also had a singing
Redstart, Hooded Warbler, and 3 Kentuckies. Yellows and
CommonYellowthroats were common in many areas.

Tanagers - singing Scarlets were at Trail of Ancients & Terrace Trail, but
Summers were more widespread, with singers at Trail of Ancients, Indian
Ridge Prairie, and Terrace Trail

Grosbeaks - 2 singing Rose-br.Grosbeaks were along the Terrace Trail

Orioles - Baltimores were at many spots along the creek, while Orchards
were at Trail of Ancients and Terrace Trail
