The conditions were perfect at Magee yesterday. We saw 18 different warblers and heard one more (84 individuals), 5 different vireos, a yellow-billed cuckoo, and the nesting eagles. The sun was out, but the birds were low. The birds should be in the area through Friday.

Subject: [Ohio-birds] Magee Marsh, May 13-14

The "Warbler Capital of the World" (Magee Marsh) didn't disappoint this
weekend: 23 warbler species on Sunday 13th, 16 warbler species on Monday
14th, total 25 warbler species in 2 days, many with numerous close views.
Managed photos of varying quality (NOT professional grade!) of 16 of them.
The black throated gray female was the star attraction, although most
photographed (by many folks) was a cooperative Canada warbler. Total of 100
species seen, incl Howard and Metzger Marshes and a brief visit to Ottawa
NWR. Very few shorebirds however.
