Several FOY sightings today around the county.
Started off the morning by taking the first Jeep ride of the year with the top off. My wife who isn’t a birder joined, mainly just to enjoy the sunshine and the Jeep ride. I’ll try and make this short..
FOY singing Yellow-throated Warbler and Pine Warbler near Willowood.
FOY Louisiana Waterthrush near Kitts Hill.
FOY Barn Swallow just before Lawco Lake.
Checked a ridge top in Dean National Forest, and had several Pine and Yellow-throated Warblers there as well.
My friend Josh Holland found the FOY Horned Grebe at Proctorville Park this afternoon and I was able to get some good looks at it a little later.
FOY Osprey circling a pond in the Crown City Wildlife Management Area, and FOY (3) Northern Bob White as well.
It was a nice day to practice social distancing!
