We checked the beach at Buck Creek State Park in Clark County this morning.
The first thing we found was a flock of ten Willets. Then two Stilt
Sandpipers flew in but didn't stay long. Farther down the beach we found a
Piping Plovers. Lee Funderburg has posted some great pictures showing the
bands on the legs. The Lesser Black-backed Gull remains. Later I heard that
a dog was running along the beach and flushed the birds. I don't know if
they remain or not.
We also found an Olive-sided Flycatcher near the power lines near the disc
golf area in the park. This is on the east side of the park.
