I had a late morning start. It was a last minute decision to hit Butler
Again. Riverside Natural area along the Great Miami. It was good! I had
A nice sized flock in a wooded area along the river. Pewees were there
In force! Hawking insects. I had 5 just there.
Bay Breasted Warblers, Maggie’s, blackpoll, Parula, Redstart. Talk about
a jinx warbler - I still need Golden winged for the state! If that Lawrence
County Swainson's shows up again next year, I chase!
Red Crossbills have been seen the last 2 mornings at the Hocking Hills
State park visitors center. A friend chased this afternoon. No success for
Him. It’s looking like a morning thing. I will post if I hear anything else.
And if they prove somewhat reliable, I chase Sunday! They have been
In the western most pines at the highest of the three parking rows.

Good birding all.
