hello out there! i am newly subscribed to this list, and like
everyone else, i am totally enamored with the connells. i have all
the albums and the "new boy" ep, and my favorites are "boylan heights"
and "ring." fave song: "scotty's lament," for very very sentimental,
sappy reasons that i won't bore everyone with. speaking of my connells
collection, i'm looking to expand it! are there many boots available?
do any of you have good ones that you'd be willing to dub and send
to an eager fan? of course, i'd compensate potential tape-makers for
their expenses if necessary. i would love to have some live stuff!
get back to me, please!

bummer about bob stinson. i've never gotten into early mats stuff, but
i know they influenced damn near every band i listen to now, so i can't
help being sad. and he sounds like a nice guy who shouldn't have left
us so soon. :(

to get back to the thread started a couple of days ago, now residing in
my cd player:

sebadoh "bakesale"
connells "ring"
archers of loaf "icky mettle"
john coltrane "my favourite things"
throwing muses "university"

well, that's about it! see you folks later!

write my name and carry my picture,
alan lowhorn
