     Miami Computing & Information Services (MCIS) announces that the
DEC OpenVMS system in Oxford (MiaVX1) will be unavailable from 6:30am
to approximately 7:30am on Thursday morning, 16 March 1995.  During
that time, Miami's World Wide Web server (WWW.MUOhio.Edu) and Network
News Transfer Protocol server (NNTP.MUOhio.Edu) will also be unavailable.
 
     MiaVX1 will be rebooted to effect maintenance updates to its
systems.
 
     MCIS regrets any inconvenience this brief service outage may cause.
