If nothing else, can people post new bands or albums that are
musically in the same genre as the Connells, i.e. power pop, folk-
rock, etc. or RIYLs (I need something to sustain me between new
Connells releases). There may be some overlooked pop gem that has
received only regional or local airplay and that may be of interest
to others. If you are willing to post, would you give a brief
description of the music. Eagerly awaiting any replies!

Kelly,

I would recommed the self-titled releases by the Delilahs and Wilco.
Although Wilco has more of a country feel, it is wonderful. Wilco arose from
the ashes of the underappreciated Uncle Tupelo (I can not recommend their 2nd
LP "Still Feel Gone" highly enough!) The Delilahs are a five man band from
Minneapolis that has a great sense of melody. In fact, these two cds spend
equal time in my cd player. Well, how about someone else? What are you
folks listening to? By the way, it appears that our friend at Black Park,
Sharon, is representing Son Volt, created from the other half of Uncle
Tupelo.
